A strong cold front is on the way through North Texas this morning and will sweep through all of the area by this afternoon. Winds will become gusty out of the north with speeds in the 20 - 30 mph range. This should give us some wind chill readings in the lower 40s by late afternoon. Temperatures will begin to drop and should bottom out around 30 degrees on Friday morning. The air is dry so no precipitation is expected with this front. There will be an elevated fire risk this afternoon as the winds pick up and the humidity falls. Be careful out there! By the latter part of the weekend we will see increasing chances for rain and another front moves into the area. Have a great day, but don't let the morning fool you, be prepared for much colder weather this afternoon.
