Unsettled weather will be with us starting Sunday afternoon...
The weather forecast is pretty much on track as previously advertised. However, here are some more specifics for your information.
So far weather computer forecasts have us receiving in the neighborhood of an inch of rain by Monday morning. If we see very much sunshine and afternoon heating we could very well see some severe thunderstorms pop up ahead of the front/dryline. Keep your eye on the radar for storms that form out ahead of the line of storms as these could be the potential severe storms that could become supercells. At this time hail and high winds seem to have the best chance of accompanying these storms.
As the front moves through - an additional chance of hail, high winds and very heavy rain will occur later overnight Sunday. Since this could be a nighttime severe weather event, be sure and have your NOAA weather radios within earshot as you hit the hay Sunday night.
As the upperlevel storm system moves near the area on its way out, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few reports of some snow flakes mixing with rain Monday night.
This is really a heads up post and I will post again tomorrow to pin things down a bit better. Stay tuned as we here at the Denton Record Chronicle want to do what we can to help keep you safe and informed.
FYI: The TML weather station is currently down for a hardware/software upgrade, but you can still check out WeatherToGolf for current temps and radar.
