The Great Denton Snowstorm of 2008 Comes to an End...
The snow storm is pretty much done with us. Occasional snow showers will continue for a bit and then there will be some flurries overnight as the upper level storm begins to move over and out of the area.
I’ve seen some pretty impressive preliminary snowfall amounts like 9” in Gainesville! It will be tomorrow before we get all the snowfall reports in. I’ll pass those along to you when I get them.
Roads are dangerous with icy slush at this time. We should hover around the freezing overnight and that may make for some problems on bridges and overpasses overnight and into the morning rush hour. Remember that 32.0 degrees is the temperature at which water freezes and melts. So it only takes very minute swings either way to freeze or melt. Best bet is to be prepared for a tricky commute into work tomorrow just in case.
I just love Texas weather as the forecast temperature for Sunday will be near 70 degrees!
Stay warm and be very careful if you have to be out and about this evening.
Should anything change I will be sure and update you here on the DRC Weather Blog.

Great job covering the storm. I posted some pictures from around town and the UNT campus here:
