Dense Fog Overnigt Tonight, but Spring is In the Air This Week...

The week is shaping up to be very spring-like. Which is certainly fine with me!

As winds go calm tonight and with a pretty saturated ground we could see some locally dense fog overnight into the morning. Keep that in mind as you head out to work tomorrow. The fog will burn off and we will see partly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 60s tomorrow. At this time I don’t see any freezing temperatures the rest of the week and possibly beyond. We are really beginning the transition into spring now and temperatures just can’t get quite as cold and stay there as they can with a winter Sun angle.

The majority of the weeks looks to be clear to partly cloudy with highs ranging from the upper 60s to the 80s (one computer model flirts with 90 degrees on Friday) by late week. Lows will generally be in the 40s warming into the 50s by mid week. A frontal system will be moving through the area over the weekend and will cool temperatures back just a bit. More on that as we get closer.

Spring fever is going to kick in, so just get ready for it.

In reference to the previous post by Barry, the Denton creek near Justin is expected to crest this afternoon around 11 ft which is above the flood stage of 10 ft. Only minor flooding is expected along the creek. It should drop back below flood stage by tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon.

Have a great Monday.
