Windy and Warm With a High Fire Danger Today...

The Denton area is under a Red Flag Warning from 11am till 9pm this evening. A Wind Advisory is also in affect for the area today during the same time period. Early today we will see southerly winds gusting to 30mph then the direction will change to a more westerly direction as a cold front enters the region later today. Needless to say the combination of high winds and low humidity is the reason for the Red Flag Warning as the fire danger will be high today. Temperatures will not have much a problem making it to 80 degrees or a bit above in Denton today. However, the cold front will be knocking those down for a couple of days and we should see a light freeze over the coming nights. Then the week will begin a gradual warm-up.
