Great weather for Denton this weekend...
After a cold start to Friday the weekend weather is looking nice for Denton. We will see windy conditions (20-30mph) once again today, but still not like what we've had earlier this week. There is an elevated risk of grassfires this afternoon, but so far no red flag warnings are up for Denton County. Red flag conditions are expected to our west today and then the state may get a break for a day or so.
The weekend is looking great with highs ranging from the upper 60s to the 70s by Sunday. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms Sunday and that trend will continue through Tuesday of next week. If certain weather elements come together we could be looking at a few strong storms during that time period, but we'll address that as more data flows into my weather office to analyze. At this time it looks as if lows will not drop to or below freezing again until Tuesday night.
Everybody get out and have a great weekend.
