« A Winter Storm Warning will go into Effect at 9pm for Denton and surrounding areas... | Main | Winter Storm Warning cancelled- Freezing Rain Advisory Issued »

UPDATE: Patchy ice accumulations expected across the area...

Temperatures continue to slowly fall this evening. Radar is already showing quite a few echoes to our south and west. There have been reports of sleet and freezing rain in the Brownwood area. Some light icing has also been reported to the west of that area.

As temperatures fall and the next upper disturbance (seen on satellite and radar loops) moves out of SW Texas into N Texas we will begin to see light freezing rain and sleet increase across the area. Remember in situations such as these bridges and overpasses will be the first to ice over. I also can’t rule out a clap of thunder here and there.

You should plan now to take extra time getting to work in the morning. The morning commute may become somewhat hazardous. Please be careful.
