A very warm and windy Sunday....
We just may exceed the 80 degree mark today. The winds will be on the gusty side out of the south with speeds easily approaching 20mph. The National Weather Service has issued an “Elevated Grass Fire Danger” this afternoon that includes western sections of the area. Please be careful. Denton county also continues to be under an Outdoor Burn Ban.
An upper-level storm system will move through the area on Monday with an associated cold front. This will serve to knock temperatures back down a bit and bring the eastern sections of the area a slight chance of thunderstorms Monday evening.
