Dense fog advisory tonight...
The weather in the Denton area continues to be a bit on the gloomy side. However, we pretty much escaped any icing that would have occurred overnight and today.
A warm front is approaching the area from the south and will bring warmer and wetter conditions to the area. The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for tonight into tomorrow morning. Visibilities will drop to less than 1/4 of a mile in most places overnight. Remember to use your low beam headlights if you are out driving this evening as high beams only make your ability to see in front of you worse.
The warm front will allow us to reach the 60s tomorrow and give us a good chance of rainfall on Wednesday. There could even be a clap of thunder every now and then. Rain chances should come to an end on Thursday as the pesky upper-level storm system finally moves away from the area.
Tomorrow will be the warmest day for a while as a few cold fronts will come in behind the departing system and knock temperatures back down to normal.
Be careful if you have to be out and about this evening as the fog will be a problem. Also keep those umbrellas handy through Thursday.
