« PATCHY FROST POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY MORNING... | Main | It certainly feels like springtime out there... »

Warmer and much windier weather on the way...

The weather is going to be warming up and getting windy again as we head toward the weekend here in Denton. Southerly winds will begin to pickup today and become very gusty over the next few days. These southerly winds will be bringing warmer air and a bit of humidity into the area. We will see high temperatures today making it into the upper 70s, and then the lower 80s tomorrow through the weekend. Low temperatures will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s. The winds will really get going tomorrow afternoon and may gust as high as 30mph over the weekend.

This is all in advance of the next frontal system expected to make it into the area Monday evening. At this time the weather looks to be unsettled next week as several systems will affect us. As far as rainfall goes, we could definitely use some, but unless we see a decent amount of moisture build up prior to the frontal passage rain doesn't look too likely at this point. The forecast will definitely need to be tweaked as additional data comes in and helps us forecasters see a recognizable pattern develop.

Be prepared for a very windy weekend but in the mean time enjoy your Thursday.
