Windy today...Nice and cool this evening...
Well, thankfully severe weather never materialized here in the Denton area yesterday. Our neighbors to the north weren't so lucky with numerous reports of tornados, hail and high wind.
Our weather will be quite windy today. A strong westerly wind will continue to usher in much drier air for us. Winds will be gusting over 20mph at times today, so watch out for loose items blowing around. Between the squirrels and the wind, I will be dodging flying pecans in my backyard!
The wind will die down this evening and skies will be clear. This makes for a great setup to cool down into the 40s tonight. This will probably be our coolest night so far this fall season.
Denton weather will be pleasant for the next few days with afternoon high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s and lows around 50 degrees.
Another system is still forecast to move in by early next week. Computer model weather guidance is all over the place with possible scenarios, so I am going to wait for more data before pinning down the next cold frontal passage. When it does make it through the area we will see much more Autumn like weather next week.

Have a great Thursday!
