Same song second verse--could be better...BUT NOT!
Drier air is filtering into the area this morning. This will help keep the humidity down a bit from the last couple of days, but the temperatures will warm once again into the lower to mid 90s this afternoon. We will see clear to partly cloudy skies. There isn't any rain in today's forecast.
The upper level low pressure I mentioned a couple of days ago in the gulf will move into the Texas coast this weekend and give us a chance of some rainfall probably around Sunday. This will also serve to keep the shot of cooler air I was expecting to arrive with a cold front over the weekend from making it all the way into the area. So bad news--Fall continues to be delayed. Above normal temperatures will stay with us at least into the beginning of next week.
A second area of low pressure will be moving into the Gulf of Mexico late this weekend or early next week and will need to be watched for potential tropical development.
Here are some of yesterday's weather stats from around the city:

Denton 2se (Co-op-downtown): Hi 89 Low 69 with .04" of rain
