Dry and windy today...

The upper level low that I talked about yesterday has actually moved much further east than I expected. It is now spinning in northeast Texas. A quick look at the satellite pictures this morning show that the back edge of the wrap-around clouds is along a Bonham, Greenville to Canton line. This has been a nightmare of a low to try and forecast! The general thinking at this time is that it will not stay close enough to the Denton area to bring us any clouds or rainfall. It will continue to keep pleasant but windy conditions in our area with temperatures climbing into the upper 60s and the lows this evening dropping into the upper 40s.

Here are yesterday's stats from around town:
KDTO (Denton Municipal Airport): Hi 66, Low 51, .83" of rain
Denton 2se (NWS Cooperative Obs-Located near downtown): Hi 55, Low 45, .77" of rain
TML* (My station 4 miles south of downtown): Hi 68, Low 53, .83" of rain
*not an official NWS reporting station.

Have a great Tuesday and enjoy the weather.
