Cool evening on tap for Denton area...

Temperatures will drop into the mid 50s this evening with some patchy areas of fog overnight. Expect a cool morning, but afternoon temperatures will make it into the mid 80s tomorrow. Moisture will begin to return to the area tomorrow evening and Wednesday. The next system moving across the nations mid section will drag a cool front/dryline through the area on Wednesday. It looks like the best chance of storms will be along and north of the interstate 20 corridor. Some of these storms are expected to become severe especially if the activity gets going during the heat of the day on Wednesday. I will keep an eye on this upcoming weather event for you.

Looking at some extended range forecasts I see the possibility of a stronger cold front making it into the area next weekend. More on that as the pattern that would allows this begins to take shape.

I will post weather stats tomorrow as it will be interesting to see the temperature differences across the area tonight.
