Ahhh the dog days of summer....Wait isn't it Fall?!
Over the weekend, particularly on Saturday, some drier air did make the weather a bit more pleasant. But as I’m sure all of you know by now it was short lived. Warm temperatures and high humidity will rule for the majority of the week. A weak front has slipped into the Red River area, but is not causing much in the way of weather change. It will give us a very slight chance of storms this afternoon and evening. If you happen to catch one of today’s storms be alert to cloud to ground lightning and some heavy downpours. A slightly better chance of rain will enter the forecast on Tuesday night into Wednesday as another front teases the region.
Signs of a change to Fall weather still look positive for this coming weekend. We should all keep our collective fingers crossed. I want Fall!
Everyone have a good Monday and if you’re out and about this afternoon participating in outdoor activities be sure to drink plenty of water.
