« Level Orange Ozone Pollution Watch for Friday | Main | The first full week of fall? Doesn't feel like it... »

Weekend weather nice...Air quality poor!

Warm temperatures will continue and a nice weekend is on tap. High temperatures will remain in the low 90s and nighttime lows will drop into the mid 60s. There is a chance some showers may pop up in eastern sections as the tropical system in the gulf continues to drift slowly west northwestward and brings moisture into the area. However until then air quality will remain poor as a level orange pollution watch has been issued for Saturday.

The forecast track of the tropical system and its potential for strengthening is hard to determine at this time. My thoughts are that it will continue to hug the coast as it moves to the west and will probably come ashore tomorrow somewhere along the Mississippi or Louisiana coastline. Even though it is so close to land it still could make it to tropical storm status before landfall.

Everyone have a great weekend and I will keep you updated of any changes as needed.
