A few storms are in the forecast...

Showers and thunderstorms associated with an upper level disturbance and surface moisture are occurring this evening to the northwest of the area. This disturbance will be slowly moving across the area over the next 48 hours. As it does the chance of scattered storms will need to be introduced into the forecast for us. The storms to the northwest of us tonight should die off with the loss of daytime heating. However I can’t rule out a stray storm overnight drifting in from the northwest. There will be about a 20% chance of storms again for us tomorrow. I will have an update in the morning.

Tropical development in the Gulf of Mexico is still looking possible by this weekend. More on that later.

Have a great evening
