Fat duck alert
The editorial page the other day made its annual reference to the heat settling down on your head "like a fat duck" when you go outside from an air conditioned building. That reference has become a staple to August editorials about the weather. I have never seen a fat duck on anyone's head, and I have no idea where this analogy came from. But I love it, and it looks like that description should fit the temperatures for the next few days.
